Post Election, NYC 2016
Originally from Singapore I recognize my position as a visitor to the big apple. I knew it was impossible for someone like myself, on the outside looking in, to fully understand the emotions and energies that ran through the city of New York when the results of the 2016 elections were announced.
Protests were organized and classes were canceled all across the United States. I headed down to Union Square in Manhattan to see for myself and experience the city during these trying times. Thousands of protesters marched from Union Square to Trump Towers. It was a unique experience to say the least but something that stuck with me was, during the march I understood that New York is upset, but we’re upset together.
